We need to start talking about how we use cloud services effectively, sustainably and quite frankly ethically. When it comes to the cloud hearing about cloud sustainability is like listening for a drop in the ocean, especially when comes to other topics like cloud security.
Google trends can show us what people are searching for and right now… It’s not cloud sustainability or even cloud cost optimisation.

So I want start a conversation about how can we navigate this sometimes dreary world of tech ethically and sustainably.
It feels like all signs are pointing towards the increased use of Cloud Hosted Services provided by the hyperscalers like AWS & Azure. If we’re not vocal and challenging about ensuring sustainability is at the forefront of technology strategy then we could be sleepwalking into a monopolistic environmental disaster.
So how can we help make the world a better place through implementing cloud sustainability practices into the way that we work?
Well, I don’t think I have all the answers so I want to speak with those who are building cloud services that are helping individuals around the world. Whether its in the public, third or private sectors AND I want to use these conversations to help make the world a better place.
